How to Wrap Text in Google Sheets

How do you wrap text in Google sheets? It is very easy, and it only takes a few seconds. First, select the cells you wish to wrap around. Second, click the Insert option from the navigation menu.

Hover your cursor over the Text Wrap option. If you want your text to wrap around all of the cells, then type the word wrap within the cell. Otherwise, if you would like your text to only be displayed on a certain portion of the sheet, then type the word overflow. For example, if you are making a chart, you could type overflow to display the charts on top of the sheet. You could also use the overflow to make the chart fade in and out of view when you move your mouse over it.

Now, you have your choice of how you want your text wrapping to work. If you choose the wrap all option, Google will automatically round your figures to the nearest cell size. However, if you would like your figure to wrap all around the page, then you can drag your mouse cursor inside any cell. When you first start learning how to do Google sheets, you will notice that the text wrapping is only possible for certain shapes and text. In this case, you will want to learn about the other options that are available to you.

The easiest way to make sure that everything fits within the sheets is to make an image of what your document or figure will look like. When you click on the Insert Image option, you will see a preview of the document or figure that you will have to copy and paste into the cells. The copy and paste method works because you can always change the size of the original image.

If you do not want to make an image, you can always use the arrow keys on your keyboard to make your figure or document wrap around instead of clicking and then cropping. Cropping means that you will be able to see the exact shape of your object as you see it in your layout. If you have trouble seeing the exact shape, you may want to zoom in on your layout. This will make everything fit within the sheets, just as it should.

It is best to learn how to wrap text in google sheets before you try anything complicated with your layout. The problem with many advanced Google sheet users is that they do not know how to make changes to their layout until after the original document or figure has been changed. This means that many may accidentally lose data or cut formatting features on their layouts when trying to make changes. Learn how to do this in Google Docs and you will save yourself time when working on your documents.
